Gene Williams has a wide and varied interest in music and sound. Like many aspiring artists, he formed his first band in his early teenage years. Over several years he played in a variety of groups that ranged in style from bluegrass to progressive rock. In time Gene learned the tools of the studio and began doing most of his own engineering. By the late nineties he operated his own studio that covered the bases from recording bands to scoring films. Throughout his career, Gene has constantly continued to experiment in sound of all styles over a variety of media. He has performed live in numerous venues from bars and honky-tonks to massive rave shows and music halls. To date he has seven albums under his belt that range from bluesy rock to unsettling dark ambient music. He has scored films, co-written theme songs for television dramas and done a plethora of sound design and engineering for a variety of artists and clients. From his humble beginnings in the Ozark Mountains of Missouri, to having millions of people hear his music, Gene maintains that he does what he loves without apology or pretense.
