Shawn Fogel grew up listening to the Beatles and started playing piano at the age of ten. As he got older he learned more and more instruments so that he could one day record his own one-man-band in the style of Beck and Stevie Wonder. Each of Shawn's three solo releases showcase his strength as a multi-instrumentalist and a songwriter, and his ability to incorporate a wide range of influences into his own personal style. Whether performing solo or fronting a band, Shawn has an unforgettable stage presence and sense of humor.

As a solo artist and a member of countless bands, Shawn Fogel has shared the stage with nationally touring acts such as Barenaked Ladies, Guster, Clem Snide, Ben Lee, Adam Green (of Moldy Peaches), Thurston Moore (of Sonic Youth), Mendoza Line, Mayday (Saddle Creek Records), Weird War (Drag City Records), Grand Champeen, The Zambonis (North America's Favorite All Hockey Band), and comedian Eugene Mirman (Suicide Squeeze Records).

Shawn's music has been played on College Radio Stations such as 91.9FM WMUA (UMass Amherst - Amherst, MA), 89.3FM WAMH (Amherst College - Amherst, MA), 91.5FM WMFO (Tufts University - Somerville, MA), 90.9FM WCDB (SUNY Albany - Albany, NY) as well as Independent Nation Radio Podcast (www.independentnation.com), and Songwriter's Network Internet Broadcast (www.musictogousa.com).

In the Winter of 2005, Shawn toured the nation as member of The LeeVees (Reprise/JDub Records). The LeeVees also feature Adam Gardner of Guster (guitar/vocals), Dave Schneider of The Zambonis (guitar/vocals), former Little T and One Track Mike member Shank Bone Mystic (keyboard/banjo/vocals), and "Come As You Are: The Story Of Nirvana author Michael Azerrad (drums). The LeeVees were the opening act for all US dates on The Barenaked Ladies' "Barenaked For The Holidays" tour. The LeeVees also played several headlining shows on the East Coast, including The Bowery Ballroom (NYC) and Paradise Rock Club (Boston). Shawn was also seen performing with The LeeVees on MSNBC's nationally broadcast "Entertainment Hot List", and NYC's WB 11 Morning News. The LeeVees will playing select cities across the country this Winter of 2006.
