education, is Aerospace Engineering, but his first love is music, his
mistresses are golf & fishing.

freedom. On tour, in his space to be free, is where he is most creative.
While touring he collects his thoughts, the experience of the road and
becomes part of the local culture, making new fans along the way, creating
new music about his travels.

Ricki Erik is a recording artist, singer, songwriter, keyboardist and
accomplished guitarist. He writes and produces most of his own music.
Ricki is now a local South Floridian with a five member band whose musical
talents far surpass what can be taught in a classroom. Those who’ve had
the opportunity to hear his music, revel in his uniquely crossed artistic
structure. His influences are reality, love, happiness, pain and the
overall experience of being human in this thing called “Life.” If Ricki’s
music and lyrics have an authentic, gritty sound, it’s for good reason.
This uniquely cross cultured mix of a man includes European influences
(born and raised) by Native Jamaica parents his natural heritage that’s
unsurprisingly different and emotionally compelling. Now top that off with
long, silky, dreads and you have a new breed of an alternative soulful
rocker.

With no formal training, Ricki Erik is a self-taught artist who plays the
guitar and keyboard, as well as writes and produces his own music. His
formal education, is Aerospace Engineering, but his first love is music,
his mistresses are golf & fishing.
Formerly a member of LINEAR, a national freestyle boy group based out of
Fort Lauderdale, the formerly known artist Ricki Erik was originally
scheduled to release a record with Linear in the 80’s. Unfortunately or
fortunate says REALM MUSIC GROUP that venture didn't work out and Ricki
Erik was picked up by REALM MUSIC GROUP who executives say has a lot of
adoring fans awaiting his new project from both near and far.
Since then, Ricki Erik produced a Reggae album with HOT PRODUCTIONS. In
1990 he was a presenter at the REGGAE MUSIC AWARDS and extra in Random
Hearts with Harrison Ford and was in a PEPSI Commercial with Latin
sensation, SHAKIRA. Nine years later, Ricki played along side the likes of
Stevie B( Billboard #1 hit song Because I love You, written by longtime
friend Warren Allen Brooks, whose currently writing on the next upcoming
album.
Ricki Erik has toured many European countries, Canada and the US,
including venues in South Beach, FL, such as Promenade and Clevelander. On
a month long promotion, Ricki, performed at the famous O’Malley’s on
Hollywood Beach. He’s a favorite at Jello Bar & Ballatou in Montreal and
local fans have had a lifetime love affair with him at Roxi’s in Toronto.
Known for his willingness to hang out and mingle with fans and audience
after the show, Ricki is personable and approachable. He loves people and
people love him! Many of his female fans often call him Ricki Erik,
describing him as sexy and sophisticated. Ricki is genuinely a nice guy
and his fans know not only of his music, but are fans of the personable,
approachable man he’s known as!
